UNITY BRINGS POWER

As David came to Hebron, he associated and joined. The men came and anointed him king over the tribe of Judah. What is important about this anointing is that before the priesthood can be established there has to be a king. The Lord established these three: the king, the prophet and the priest. The priesthood falls every time if there is a bad king with an evil reign. There has to be good kings to establish the priesthood, and when there are no kings, there is no presence of authority. We can be authoritative because we have opinions and ideas and strong doctrine, but we have no authority through the presence of the anointing of God.

If there is no priesthood there cannot be worship; there cannot be praise. When the priest fell, the nation fell. Today we need unity, but there is a worldly unity that wants to reign through manipulation. What a pity if the Holy Spirit cannot bring unity in The Church, and what we have is only a shadow of what God wants to do in The Church. The devil brings such an isolation that we do not move out of our actions, and we think the actions are our highest calling.

Our calling is not just to act, but when we are anointed, the presence of the Lord is with us. It is not just in the actions that we do, but who we are in Jesus Christ. Anybody can preach and prophesy. God can raise up some one better than what we are, but no one can become you. It does not matter how great we are, you cannot become me. It is not the preaching but the presence I represent, as I become the living testimony and the power of the anointing to emanate the light in my life.

David settled in Hebron, to be associated, and to be united. Only when there is true unity, will there be power. 1 Peter 2:4-6 speaks of offering up spiritual sacrifices. In Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Paul urges the Romans to offer their bodies as living sacrifices. Today I would say that God’s people do not know His will, and even so we pray for many hours, we are still not sure. We have not come into the place of priesthood because a priest knows God’s will. We are totally side tracked by our emotions and minds. We cannot test and see if it God’s will because we have not become living sacrifices. We bring dead things to God. He does not want the things that we have killed; that is the old law. God does not want our blood because He poured out his blood that we might bring a living sacrifice.

To be able to bring a living sacrifice, we have to be anointed as kings to have the presence and the understanding to bring something worthwhile to the people. Dead sacrifices are things that we reject ourselves. They are the things that we want, but they stink and they are dead. Some of us will give God the things that have already died in us, our own rejected live. That is not a living sacrifice if we have already rejected something. If we reject it, we cast it out of our life, but we have given the dead things to God, and we hope that God will give us a different life after we have killed and offered these things.

We have to be anointed to understand as we are rooted in Christ. It is the perfect life, not just a functional life that we need. It is the life we accept by the power of God to fulfill the purpose of our calling.
In His Love,
