PERFECT GIVING BRINGS KINGDOM FRUIT
Out of our perfect giving, out of our complete love, we will reach the kingdom. Corruptible things will be changed into valuable things for the kingdom because we gave them as to God; “gave a portion of seven …” The evil things of tribulation can devour the giving of six, but if we give to seven, no evil days can touch our souls. We know that nothing can separate us from the love of God. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’ Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39) What strength to know that everything we do unto Him has eternal value has kingdom substance. One dollar given in completeness can bring souls to God and special blessing to other people in need. We can’t judge it according to monetary value, but if we give a kingdom donation, it will bring Kingdom fruit.
Let me tell you a dramatic story of how someone’s obedience to giving set us on the path of God’s divine will. In September 1980, we were planning our trip to South Africa. It would be an expensive trip providing expenses for six people, but God had sovereignty directed all of us to go. Now we were experiencing the trials and criticism of other people who could not understand our call and burden.
I wanted to know from God what He wanted. I wanted a sure sign and direction from Him and so I asked Him for this sign. I said, “God, if you want us to travel as a team and want us to go to Africa, then give me a sign today!”
At that time, we were having a weekend of meetings in the United States. After a meeting, a man came up to me and said, “I want you to have this for your work in Africa.” I looked at the gift he had given but did not really know what it was until I held in my hand.
Later, back in our room, we were all looking at this gift and discovered it was a Krugerand from South Africa!
God had answered my cry. Not only did He give a sign, but also that sign was a very unique and expensive coin to purchase. It was a coin from the nation, which would serve as a headquarters for our work in Africa. Now I knew with new assurance that God had set the course we were walking on!
May God help us to give a complete offering unto Him, so that we can give to eight or a new beginning, and a new fire, and no evil days will be able to hold us back on earth to stop our move in the mighty promises and inheritance in God.
In His Love,
Sigi
