SET YOUR PRIORITY
The Church of Pergamos is also a church that had to repent because it had people who held on to the teaching of Balaam. (Revelation 2:14-16) There are other churches that have revelation, but they have sexual immorality. God says to the church of Pergamos that there is sexual immorality and the sexual immorality will keep you out of the New Jerusalem, and the dwelling of God cannot come upon you.
When we move into the spiritual realm, we are just like Joshua with the Israelites. The Lord had commanded him to be of great courage. He looked up and there was an angel of the Lord and he asked, “Are you a friend or are you an enemy?” However, the angel never gave him an answer because it depended upon the priorities of Joshua’s life. The angel said that he was the host. If I do not obey, my friend can become my enemy, and I would oppose everything that is against the power of the Spirit. Some of us are good people, but we are in opposition to the move of God’s Spirit, and when we are in opposition, we are an enemy of the move of God.
Every one of the churches had their pit falls. There are two churches in which God moved in the second anointing. The Church of Smyrna is spoken of in Revelation 2:8-11. God said of this church that she had come through trials and tribulation, and tribulation means pressure on flesh. Many of us know that we are poor and that we are people in need of love and revelation, and God allows needs in our lives. Christ never used His power to fulfill the needs in His ministry. Yes, He had needs, but He said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
There is a time in our lives that we are needy and poverty will overcome us, but we are in need that we might realize our supply does not come from without, but that God is our source and our rock.
In His Love,
