INCREASED STRENGTH

How do we walk in increased strength? It is not just through gifts. It is what we have built, and also what we break down that is foreign and strange of the flesh. When we break down the fortresses, God will establish in us a part of the New Jerusalem. The Church is not only on earth, but is partly in heaven and we are one because those who have gone before us are a church, the same as those who are here. They are witnesses of what you and I are doing in this day to establish and give the power and make room for God to expand His glory and power upon us.

David wanted to conquer Jerusalem because it was there that the temple had been built and where the dwelling place of God must be. There are seven churches in Revelation in different locations. As I have traveled from one place to another and have seen and met different people from all over the world, I realize that many of us are in one place or another because of the choices and the preferences that we have in our lives. God has no favoritism, but He gives me favor. He gives me favor when I please Him, and many of us do not have favor with God because we are more concerned that God is pleased with us than that we are pleasing to Him. Only as we desire to please God will the favor of the Lord be upon us, and it will bring forth different priorities in our life because the priorities give us the direction of our decisions. For example, if you love your family, but your job is your priority, do not be surprised that after ten years you do not know any one in your family on a level that matters.

When we study the seven churches in Revelation, we realize that they all have something in common, except two churches. Those churches are in the first level of the anointing because they have gifts, revelation, and power. God weighed them on a prophetic scale, and the result was that they came up short. Many of us are lightweights, even though we have found gifts and we have done great things in our lives, we are to close to earth. We are too carnal minded, too carnally motivated, to carnal! When you are carnal minded your priorities are not focused on the New Jerusalem and you could really care less because you want to have your vacation first before you are prepared to be a bride.

All the churches had one thing in common, except for two of them. Every church had to repent. If they did not repent, He would have taken what they had. Many of us in our importance, forget the magnitude of God’s glory and power in our lives. The church of Ephesus did not lose her anointing, but nevertheless God had something against her because they lost their first love. Revelation 2:4-5, it says, “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lamp stand from its place – unless you repent.”

The lamp stand speaks of an oil lamp, and we only get light and revelation through the oil of the Spirit. If we do not repent, the cold heartedness in our life will cause God to take away our oil and we will have no revelation.

When we walk in that first anointing, we will continuously make choices between the carnal and spiritual things because they are both pulling at us. That is why we need to press into the second anointing to become a prince and a king and a prophet, so that God might use us, and that we become some one that has made choices. Many of us say no, but we do not really mean it. Every choice will pay a price, and we want to make the right choice, but we do not want to pay the price. That is why as in all these churches, we always come to a place where we have to repent again and again.

They lost their first love the same way that we lose a fire; they had to many ashes in their lives. If we make the right choices, in return, we have increased strength.
In His Love,
