THE DOOR OF PRIVACY
The Church can no longer struggle for survival, but The Church is about God’s purpose for our lives. Proverbs 8:3-4 “At the entrance of the doors: To you, Oh men, I call.” An entrance is a place or an act. If I let you into my life, I trust you and I have confidence in you. If I let you into my life, I know that I can trust who you are in God.
A door means to loosen, to let go free, to open wide, to break forth, and to unstop. When people think of a door, we think of ministry, opportunity, prosperity, and recognition. That is not the purpose of a door. A door is not made to open up, but it is made to close us in. If we use a door, it is usually made for privacy; otherwise we do not need a door, for instance, on our bathroom. When God speaks of a door, He speaks about a different freedom than the freedom of independence so we can run out of our house. He speaks of an enclosure where we are safe. We cannot break out just by being independent. We can only break out by depending on God. In order for me to depend on God, I have to come into a place of privacy and into the innermost of His holiness. I have to come into the blood of Jesus Christ.
As the plagues hit Egypt and the first-born were killed of the Egyptians, the only safe ones were those who were on the inside of the door. Even though you were a Hebrew, if you were on the outside of the door with the blood of a lamb on the doorposts, the first-born would be killed. That door was their safety with the blood of the lamb to protect them.
Joshua 2 speaks of Rahab hiding the spies. In warfare, the spy system is very important, and many of us do not want to be spies. When I smuggled Bibles one knew us, why? A secret agent cannot be known. Spiritual warfare cannot be made just because we make our requests known. God has to raise up Tachmonites, one of the mighty men in 2 Samuel 23. Where he was willing to be unknown, he slew eight hundred men at one time. We have to be unknown to start something new. A known man is often unable to start something new because he is already established and rooted. God has made him famous and has given him a name. Many times it is the unknown ones that God must use who pray, intercede, and who get a hold of God and are not recognized in the religious community and in the system. People who know they have to press into the darkness to find the light, so that they can start a new thing.
If we are not willing to bring sacrifices that are not known; to give money that is not known; to bring things to God that are not known, then we can never be the ones who start a new thing. God breaks us into new revelation through the things that we do that are unknown. Our attitudes, our repentance, our yielding to God are things people cannot see on the outside. In humbling myself, I become a Tachmonite, and no one knows what is going on as I wrestle with God. We can not let lose of God until He blesses us and touches our walk that we lose the independence out of our step as with Jacob as he wrestled with God.)
In His Love,
